Preparation

1. Establish a clean and clear workspace.

2. Open the package and remove the LED light bar and equipment.

3. Gather required tools/equipment, as listed above.

Installing the LED bar mounts

1. Locate the two mounting brackets and the two small hex-head screws and remove from packaging.

2. Using a hex wrench and the two hex-head screws, mount the brackets to the LED bar.

3. Align the LED bar to the mounting location on the roof of the cart.

4. There is a piece of framing that runs along the underside of the cart roof. Note there are 3 bolts holding the roof to this frame. The light bar will need to be attached through the roof and into this piece of frame.

5. Align the center of the light bar to the center bolt to ensure proper placement. Note that there is a screw in the middle of the light bar that can be used for alignment (see Figure 1).

6. Once center is aligned, confirm front-to-back alignment is running long the length of the piece of frame supporting the roof, as it will need to be drilled into (see Figure 2).

5. Using a marker (or other writing utensil), make a mark in the hole in the bottom of each of the two mounting brackets. These will indicate where the bracket needs to be mounted to the frame in the following steps (see Figure 3).

6. Note: in Figure 3, the mark was made prior to moving the bracket out of the way for photo clarity. The mounting bracket should be used as the guide for making the mark.

6. Remove the mounting brackets from the LED light bar.

7. Using the self-tapping screws, mount the two brackets (detached from the light bar) to the roof of the cart (see Figure 4).

   1. Note: You may need to use a drill to create a starter hole. If this is the case, be careful not to drill through both sides of the roof frame crossmember. It is hollow aluminum and only one side will need to be drilled through to support the length of the screw.

8. Re-attach the light bar to the mounting brackets using the hex-head screws. The LED light bar should now be firmly mounted to the roof of the cart (see Figure 5).

Routing power to the light

1. Locate the wiring plug inside the cart. It will be on the passenger side of the cart, coming out of the framing near the ceiling (see Figure 8).

2. Using a large drill bit, drill a hole through the roof of the cart on the passenger side. It should be in a location such that the plug on the light bar can enter and connect inside the cart to the power supply plug (see Figure 6).

3. Locate the adapter on the wire of the light bar. Note there is a plastic nut on the adapter—remove this nut. Do not discard or lose this.

4. Push the wire from the light bar into the hole that was just drilled in the roof.

5. On the inside of the cart, re-attach the nut to the adapter. This will keep water from entering the cart through the drilled hole (see Figure 7).

6. Plug the light bar wire into the wire located in step 1 (see Figure 8).

7. Note—if there is extra wire coming from the cart plug, some of this can be pushed back into the frame piece. Simply feed the wire back through the hole into the frame.

7. Confirm power to the light bar by turning on the high beams. If no power, troubleshooting is required.

8. Installation of the LED light bar is complete.
